EDIT: Mystery solved - the caption in question is the 1st result when searching for m2bbw on google image search.
I look at my blog statistics occasionally and for a long time I've been puzzled by the numbers on this one specific post.
It's a set of two m2bbw caption I uploaded on march 27th, 2019, titled "The cursed word", and it currently boasts over ten times more views than basically any other caption I've uploaded to date - sitting at over 13k views as I write this.
I don't have the faintest idea why, though. As far as I can tell, the caption itself isn't anything special. The post doesn't even have a single comment on it, so I don't really think this is considered some "beloved classic" by people.
The high view count could be explained easily if this post was something that appeared at the top of google results when searching for my content, but I don't think that's the case either.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe someone's bookmarked the link to this post and basically using that to access the rest of the blog. But if that were the case, they'd still have to have visited this place over ten times per day for over two years.
If there really is mainly just a single person behind this, I'd love for them to step forward and maybe tell me what they think about the caption or something lol
Just kidding ofc, you do you. But I am genuinely intrigued by these mystery views and would love to find out what they're about.
Well now I need to know.

ReplyDeleteWhen you do a m2bbw search in google images it is the first one to appear on top… and personally it is the one i use to get to your blog…. So i may have helped to make this post have so much view..
ReplyDeleteIs that so? Mystery solved, I guess. I can only get the post to appear on google if I search for it specifically, but since the search results are somewhat region-based as far as I know, I suppose this is the most plausible explanation.

ReplyDeleteOh, the IMAGE search. Didn't even cross my mind to test that for some reason. Looks like it's the 1st result for me too. Welp, case closed.
DeleteIt's a bit curious that this one ended up winning the favor of the algorithm instead of a more well received caption, but that's how it goes sometimes.
